Six demo formats at a glance
The interactive demo examples worth building are six formats, and Supademo's use-case guides document each one.
- Website demo: embedded on a feature page or the home page.
- Demo behind a form: on a landing page.
- Sales leave-behind: sent after a call.
- Cold-email demo: a GIF in the email, linked to the demo.
- Help-article demo: inside a help center.
- In-app tour: opened inside the product.

A website demo is a short guided demo embedded where traffic lands. Supademo's guide puts it above the fold on feature pages and beside the main button on the home page, as an inline embed, with a popup embed on secondary pages. A guided HTML demo, from Business, gives sharper text than a screenshot demo, which works on any plan.
A demo behind a form asks for an email partway. Supademo advises three to five free steps, then a form, then the deeper content. Where the demo is the offer on a demand-gen landing page, it suggests gating up front, which captures the most and raises bounce.
Sales leave-behind and cold-email examples
A leave-behind is a trimmed copy of the master demo. Supademo says to cut it to the one or two workflows the buyer cared about on the call, keep it under 15 steps and not gate it. Send it as a trackable link, a unique link per viewer that notifies you as they engage. A Showcase bundles role-specific demos so the buyer's champion shares one link.
A cold-email demo is one guided screenshot demo of the single best workflow, under 10 steps. Put a GIF of its first seconds in the email as the clickable thumbnail, linked to the demo, and never gate an outbound demo. The steps are in interactive demo in email marketing.
Help-article and in-app onboarding examples
A help-article demo covers one task in 5 to 8 steps, chosen from your ticket data. It embeds into Zendesk, Intercom, GitBook and Notion, and a PDF or PNG export of the steps can sit beside it as the written version.
An in-app tour is one workflow, recorded as a guided HTML demo of 5 to 7 steps. Any demo can open as a tour from your workspace, and a Demo Hub is an embeddable, searchable library of demos. Supademo's general FAQ names no plan for in-app tours, while its SDK page names Scale and above.
Personalized demo examples for named accounts
A personalized demo fills a prospect's details into the demo. Wrap a field name such as name or company in double curly brackets to make it a dynamic variable, filled from the share link or a form. A fallback after a vertical bar, such as there, keeps a greeting natural when the name is missing.
One demo can issue a unique link per viewer, and Supademo says most sequence tools merge such links like first-name fields. On Business, AI data editing swaps tables, text and UI elements from a typed prompt.
Which plan each demo example needs
Supademo builds all six formats. Its Free plan allows five guided demos with embed and link sharing. Trackable links, lead forms, Showcases and in-app tours through the SDK start on Scale at $38 a month per creator, billed yearly, as read on October 24, 2026. Dynamic variables start on Scale too, and the in-app recipe's guided HTML demo starts on Business. The best interactive demo software list shows the alternatives.
Supademo's pages differ on Showcase analytics, so read analytics per demo; the Supademo review has the detail. Free covers the website and help-article demos. The 14-day trial of a paid plan, which asks for no card, is the way to try the rest, and a team that needs forms, per-recipient links or tours should move up. The steps for any format are in how to create an interactive demo of a product.
